Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of Douglas K. Nadolny, DOB: 05/06/1952, of 9 Center St., Oakland, New Jersey, on one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor – Transmission of Child Pornography and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor - Possession of Child Pornography. Nadolny was arrested on Thursday August 21, 2008 by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and members of the Oakland Police Department.
The arrest came about as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which the following occurred: After receiving information that Nadolny was involved in the transmission of child pornography, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit initiated an investigation. Further investigation, including a forensic analysis of Nadolny’s computer, yielded evidence of possession and transmission of child pornography, specifically images of prepubescent boys and girls engaged in sexual acts.
Prosecutor Molinelli urges anyone whose child spoke with online with screen name “joth52” to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit. Prosecutor Molinelli states that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Molinelli would like to thank the Oakland Police Department for their assistance in this investigation and execution of a search warrant at Nadolny’s home. Additionally, Prosecutor Molinelli would like to thank the following agencies that provided manpower in the form of a Computer Crimes Task Force member:
