      Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of Jhonny Elters, of 260 Oak Street, Apartment E4, Ridgewood, New Jersey on charges of Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Distribution of Obscene Material to a Person Under 18. The arrest was affected on February 13, 2009.

      The arrest came as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Computer Crimes Unit, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro and members of the Glen Rock Police Department, under the direction of Chief Steven D. Cherry. The Glen Rock Police Department participates in and provides man-power to the county-wide Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force.

      The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which the following occurred: Mr. Elters engaged in conversations via the Internet, specifically chat and instant messaging, with what he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. During the course of those conversations Elters initiated sexually explicit dialog. Elters engaged in sexually explicit dialogue with the presumed 13-year-old girl and transmitted images of himself naked via the Internet to the presumed 13-year-old.

      Prosecutor Molinelli urges anyone whose child spoke online with the screen name “jters7” to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit. Prosecutor Molinelli states that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

      Additionally, Prosecutor Molinelli would like to thank the Glen Rock and Ridgewood Police Departments for their assistance in this investigation.

          Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of Robert Cinek, of 15 Fernwood Court, Clifton, New Jersey, on charges of Distribution of Prescription Legend Drugs. Cinek was arrested on Friday, February 13, 2009.

          The arrest came about as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Ramsey Police Department, under the direction of Chief Bryan Gurney and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro, and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) - Newark Office, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Gerard P. McAleer.

          The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which Robert Cinek created and operated a website that offered prescription drugs for sale. The on-line pharmacy enabled people to purchase these drugs without the required prescription from a licensed physician. Several illegal transactions were tracked through the investigation. Several search warrants were executed and Cinek was arrested without incident.

          Prosecutor Molinelli states that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Molinelli would like to thank the Clifton and Pompton Lakes Police Department for their assistance with this investigation, and the Ramsey Police Department who is a member of and conducts investigations in cooperation with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force. Additionally, Prosecutor Molinelli would like to thank the following Police Departments who provided support in the form of Computer Crimes Task Force personnel and who participated in this investigation:
