For Immediate Release: November 26, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MOHAMMAD RAMADAN (DOB: 5/3/1987; single; tech consultant) of 27 Lexington Avenue, Rochelle Park, NJ on attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful weapons possession charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels. On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at approximately 2:44 p.m., the Fair Lawn Police Department responded to a report of a 79-year-old injured male located at 0-99 Plaza Road in Fair Lawn. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, where he was treated for head injuries. For Immediate Release: November 18, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of BILLY GARCIA (DOB: 8/14/2003; single; unemployed) of Ridgefield, New Jersey on sexual assault and child endangerment charges. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Martin Kahn. On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Fairview Police Department regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department revealed BILLY GARCIA sexually assaulted the child, who was younger than 13 years old, in Fairview, New Jersey. For Immediate Release: November 18, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of SARDAR HABIB (DOB: 11/25/1999; single; unemployed) of 172 Park Ave., East Rutherford, NJ on weapons, money laundering and drug-related charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the East Rutherford Police Department under the direction of Chief Dennis Rivelli. On November 12, 2021, during a narcotics investigation, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the East Rutherford Police Department executed a search warrant at SARDAR HABIB’s residence. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JONATHAN ABBASSI during a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that ABBASSI used the Internet to view, download, possess and distribute more than 1,000 digital depictions of nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. A team of assessors for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®) will conduct a virtual on-site assessment on December 6th and 7th, 2021 to examine all aspects of the Bergen County Police Academy policy and procedures, management, operations, and instructional services. Verification by the team that the police academy meets the Commission’s 160 state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process. “Gaining CALEA accreditation is a highly prized recognition of public safety training academy excellence,” stated Prosecutor Musella. Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: Just before 5:45 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, Teaneck Police responded to a report of an accident on eastbound Route 4 at Teaneck Road involving a motorcyclist.  The motorcyclist, 58-year-old Albert Spechar of River Vale, NJ, had struck a deer while traveling eastbound on the highway.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton determined that no other vehicles were involved in the accident and no criminal charges were brought.  …
