For Immediate Release: January 31, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ADRIAN DIAZ-RESENDIZ (DOB: 11/05/1991; single; employed as food prep worker) of 14115 Grand Central Parkway, Jamaica, NY on a drug offense. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On January 27, 2022, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force revealed that ADRIAN DIAZ-RESENDIZ was transporting bulk shipments of marijuana through Bergen County. During this investigation, a search was conducted on a white-colored Dodge Ram pick-up truck in Teaneck, New Jersey. That search revealed approximately 144 packages of marijuana with a total weight of 144 pounds. DIAZ-RESENDIZ was arrested at the scene of the search. ADRIAN DIAZ-RESENDIZ was charged with one count of first-degree possession of marijuana over 25 lbs. with the intent to distribute, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(10)a.

For Immediate Release: January 28, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Howard M. Harper (DOB: 8/15/1980; single; unemployed) of 240 Prospect Avenue, Apartment # 325, Hackensack, NJ on charges of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of Taser devices. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Captain Darrin DeWitt. On January 25, 2022, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Hackensack Police Department executed a search warrant at 240 Prospect Avenue, Apartment # 325, Hackensack, NJ. A search of the residence revealed a large amount of cocaine, three taser devices, and drug paraphernalia. HOWARD M. HARPER was apprehended outside of his residence and was placed under arrest without incident.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Lyndhurst Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Jarvis. On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, the Lyndhurst Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lyndhurst Police Department revealed that AMIT BHATT sexually assaulted the victim, a child younger than 13. FREEDMAN (DOB: 4/05/1961; single; retired) of 1265 15th Street, Apt. 8C, Fort Lee, NJ on a charge of Causing or Risking Widespread Injury or Damage. For Immediate Release: January 24, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MATTHEW PANETTA (DOB: 2/04/1993; single; employed as a plumber) of 34 Piermont Road, Unit 6, Tenafly, NJ on weapon possession charges. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. During an investigation by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad on January 21, 2022, MATTHEW PANETTA was identified as unlawfully possessing a sawed-off shotgun. Later that same day, detectives arrested PANETTA without incident at his place of employment. A subsequent search warrant was executed at PANETTA’S residence in Tenafly. PANETTA was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a(1); and third degree possession of a prohibited weapon (sawed-off shotgun), N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3(b). The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On Saturday, December 12, 2021, the Teaneck Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that NEVILLE KENNEDY sexually assaulted two children, both of whom were under the age of 13, on more than one occasion. On Friday, January 14, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit identified JOSE CANELA-CASTILLO during an ongoing Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that CANELA-CASTILLO used the Internet to view, download, and possess files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. Jan 8 Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: At approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, Rochelle Park Police responded to 44 Schlosser Drive after receiving a 9-1-1 call that there were two unconscious individuals found in the residence. Responding officers located two deceased individuals, 43-year-old Marcos Gagnon and his ex-wife, 35-year-old Mandy Staples, on the second floor of the residence. A cause of death has not yet been determined.  An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and the Rochelle Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Dean Pinto. No additional information is available at this time, but the incident appears to be isolated.
