For Immediate Release:May 10, 2022Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JAVAL JAMES (DOB: 12/08/1977; divorced; unemployed) of Brooklyn, NY on aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn O’Reilly. As a result of the investigation, on Friday, May 6, 2022, JAVAL JAMES was arrested in Teaneck, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2); and third-degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(7). JAMES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. For Immediate Release:May 6, 2022Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of ANTHONY NASO (DOB: 7/14/1994; married; employed as a financial advisor) of Seaside Heights, NJ and NICHOLAS POLIMENI (DOB: 10/22/1994; single; employed as a tile worker) of Toms River, NJ on charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and impersonating a law enforcement officer. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the East Rutherford Police Department under the direction of Chief Dennis Rivelli. During a 1½-year-long investigation by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigation Squad and East Rutherford Police Department, ANTHONY NASO and NICHOLAS POLIMENI were identified as suspects in a robbery which occurred in the borough of East Rutherford on September 11, 2020. For Immediate Release:May 6, 2022Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DOUGLAS HOEHN (DOB: 9/05/1947; single; retired) of 435 Carlton Road, Wyckoff, NJ on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child, and impersonation. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of DOUGLAS HOEHN during the course of a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that HOEHN used the Internet to view, download, possess, and distribute files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit pubescent children. In addition, detectives uncovered multiple fraudulent ID cards and also discovered that HOEHN assumed the identity of a child on the Internet while having online conversations with others. As…

For Immediate Release:                                       May 4, 2022                                      Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of IBRAHIM ASARE (DOB:5/23/1996; single; unemployed) of 254 Orange Street, Apartment 207, Newark, NJ on drug and weapons charges, and BRANDON WUSU (9/16/98; single; unemployed) of 254 Orange Street, Apartment 207, Newark, NJ on ID theft and money laundering charges. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On May 3, 2022, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force revealed that IBRAHIM ASARE was transporting bulk amounts of suspected marijuana and multiple firearms through Bergen County.  During this investigation, a search was conducted on the defendant’s vehicle in Carlstadt, NJ that revealed approximately two pounds of suspected marijuana, two handguns, hollow point ammunition, and a large capacity magazine. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and the Lyndhurst Police Department are currently on the scene of a barricaded subject at 444 Thomas Avenue in Lyndhurst.  Police initially responded to the address at approximately 4:13 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, and they have been in contact with an individual in that residence since that time. No other individuals are believed to be in the home. Residents are advised to avoid the area of 444 Thomas Avenue, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.  …

For Immediate Release:                                       May 3, 2022                                      Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of SUN MIN GRACE YOO CHAN (DOB: 1/10/1986; married; educational counselor) of 159 Monroe Avenue, River Edge, NJ on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and child endangerment.  The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the River Edge Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Walker. On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 7:30 A.M., the River Edge Police Department received a 911 call reporting an infant not breathing.  Upon their arrival at the residence, officers found a 3-month-old unresponsive male infant.  The child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased on April 1, 2022.  An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the River Edge Police Department revealed that…
