For Immediate Release:August 4, 2022Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of CARLOS JOSE CRUZ-PENA (DOB: 10/21/1988; single; employed at a pharmacy) of 1307 Edward A. Grant Highway, Bronx, NY on charges of possession with the intent to distribute prescription legend drugs. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On August 2, 2022, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force revealed that CARLOS CRUZ-PENA was transporting prescription legend drugs, packaged for sale, through Bergen County. During this investigation, a search was conducted on his vehicle in Teaneck, NJ, which revealed an aftermarket electronic hidden compartment. Inside the compartment, detectives located several hundred prescription pills packaged for sale. CRUZ-PENA was placed under arrest without incident at the scene. For Immediate Release:August 3, 2022Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of LAMELLE PULLEY (DOB: 1/13/1985; single; maintenance worker) of Englewood, NJ on aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley. On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that LAMELLE PULLEY sexually assaulted the child, who was 15 years old or younger at the time, in Englewood, NJ on one occasion. RODRIGUEZ (DOB: 4/5/2001; single; construction worker) of 31 74th Street, North Bergen, NJ on charges of felony murder, hindering apprehension, possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, and conspiracy to commit, perjury, and tampering with evidence. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, which is a continuing investigation of the murder of David Duque-Soto which occurred in Fairview on June 29, 2019. The perjury charges are based on the March 2, 2022 testimony of DYLAN RODRIGUEZ at the trial of Lexie Burke in Bergen County Superior Court for the murder of David Duque-Soto.
