For Immediate Release: March 31, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FOKAM PARFAIT (DOB: 1/27/1998; single; unemployed) of Montclair, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Officer-In-Charge Captain John Zotollo, Jr. On Friday, March 24, 2023, the Saddle Brook Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged robbery and sexual assault. The Prosecutor’s Office was informed that the suspect brandished a handgun and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief David Brennan. On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an unresponsive child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department revealed that the 13-month-old child had ingested suspected fentanyl and was revived with Naloxone at a local hospital. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On March 28, 2023, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County, NJ. The investigation revealed that the driver, JARRON ELLIOTT MCCABE, was transporting approximately twelve pounds of marijuana while having stolen New York license plates affixed to his vehicle. DYNAN (DOB: 8/08/1988; single; unemployed) of 162 Grand Avenue, Rutherford, NJ, on charges of luring and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. In January 2023, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit engaged in online conversations with SEAN DYNAN, who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old child. During the exchanges, DYNAN engaged in sexually explicit dialogue and arranged to meet with the purported 14-year-old child for sexual intercourse. On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, DYNAN drove to a location in Paramus, NJ to meet the purported 14-year-old child, who was actually an undercover detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit. The arrests are the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On March 29, 2023, during a money laundering investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County, NJ. The investigation revealed that the driver, MOHAMMED SUHAIL RAWASHEDH, and the passenger, RAMI FAOZI AZAM, were transporting approximately $36,000 in cash. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is assisting the Maywood and Hackensack Police Departments in an investigation into the details of the death of 39-year-old Maywood Police Sergeant Jason Y. Liaban, who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound just after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023. The death is not suspected to involve criminal activity, but the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated. We ask that the public provide Sergeant Liaban’s family, the Maywood Police Department, and the Bergen County law enforcement community privacy to grieve this sudden loss. Because this is not a criminal investigation, no additional information will be provided.

HERNANDEZ (DOB: 10/06/1974; single; construction worker) of 811 Grand Avenue, North Bergen, NJ, on charges related to the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On March 27, 2023, during a narcotics investigation, JOSE A. HERNANDEZ distributed approximately 15 grams of cocaine to an undercover detective. A search of his vehicle revealed additional suspected Adderall pills, Oxycodone tablets, and packaging material. As a result of the investigation, JOSE A.
