For Immediate Release: June 30, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of KULDEEP SETHI (DOB: 5/10/1957; married; self-employed/waiter) of 2356 Rosemont Terrace, Furlong, PA, on charges of money laundering, theft by deception, and conspiracy to commit the afore-mentioned crimes. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and Waldwick Police Department under the direction of Chief Mark Messner. In September 2022, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received information from the Waldwick Police Department about an international tech support scam targeting its residents. The investigation revealed that the computer tech support scam and associated frauds targeted numerous individuals in New Jersey and other states. For Immediate Release: June 28, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of CHARLES VERA (DOB: 9/16/1992; married; digital marketing) of 546 Washington Avenue, Apt. 3206, Dumont, NJ on a charge of money laundering. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Brian Joyce. In September 2022, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit initiated an investigation involving the movement of funds, including cryptocurrency, to various darknet websites specializing in the sale of stolen personal identifying information. CHARLES VERA was identified as a person facilitating the transfer of funds in support of darknet activities by interacting with numerous individuals from various online fraud groups and brokering transactions with darknet marketplaces for a fee. On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the Dumont Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. For Immediate Release: June 27, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced charges against NOE GABRIEL HERNANDEZ (DOB: 10/21/1998; single; unemployed) of 930 S. 7th Street, Allentown, PA, and JUAN ROSARIO (DOB: 03/12/1998; single; unemployed) of 247 N. 8th Street, Allentown, PA, for burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. The arrests are the result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton. On Monday, March 20, 2023, a theft of approximately 17 catalytic converters from vehicles owned and operated by the County of Bergen occurred at 178 Essex Street in Lodi, NJ. For Immediate Release: June 21, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JOSHUA CASIANO (DOB: 03/17/1994; single; traffic safety foreman) of Elmwood Park, NJ, on charges related to a June 18, 2023, shooting in Garfield, NJ.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Garfield Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of 7 Jewel Street in Garfield, on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Garfield Police responded after receiving a 911 call. They found a 26-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries, who was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he is in stable condition. An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram.
