At approximately 4:15 p.m., officers from the New Milford Police Department entered the residence for a welfare check, where they discovered 80-year-old Giovanni “John” Emmolo and 56-year-old Marina Perez, who had both suffered gunshot wounds and were later pronounced deceased.
