For Immediate Release: November 22, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DELFINO SIMON-ROCA (DOB: 10/13/1967; married; construction worker) of Cliffside Park, NJ, on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Marc Marano. On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.  An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that JOSEPH HICKS sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 13 and 16 years old in Englewood, NJ while in a supervisory role. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Bogota Police Department are investigating a fatal fire that occurred at 320 River Road, Bogota, NJ on Saturday, November 18, 2023. At approximately 5:59 a.m., the Bogota Police Department received a report of a fire at 320 River Road. Police officers responded along with the Bogota Fire Department and neighboring fire departments. First responders located an unconscious male victim inside the residence, who was later pronounced deceased at Hackensack University Medical Center. A female victim escaped from the residence prior to the arrival of police and fire personnel. She was evaluated on scene by emergency medical services and declined transport to a hospital.  An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bogota Police Department under the direction of Chief Daniel Maye. McMASTER (DOB: 6/17/1981; single; unemployed) of 21 Waterfall Court, Bloomingdale, NJ.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Oakland Police Department under the direction of Chief Keith Sanzari. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fort Lee Police Department are investigating two suspected overdose deaths that occurred at the Skyview Motel on Bergen Boulevard in Fort Lee, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. At approximately 1:41 p.m., the Fort Lee Police Department responded to a rented room at the Skyview Motel for a possible medical call. Responding officers from the Fort Lee Police Department encountered five individuals who were in and out of consciousness and experiencing symptoms consistent with an overdose. The officers rendered medical assistance, including the deployment of Naloxone. Two individuals were later pronounced deceased, and the other three were transported to a local hospital. The victims’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. For Immediate Release: November 12, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OMAR RIOS (DOB: 12/26/1978; single; unemployed) of 510 Franklin Avenue Apartment 15, Nutley, NJ, for possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, maintaining a controlled dangerous substance production facility, and money laundering. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On November 9, 2023, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force executed a search warrant at 510 Franklin Avenue, Apartment 15, Nutley, NJ, the residence of OMAR RIOS. Detectives found more than 800 grams of cocaine, $58,070 in suspected drug sale proceeds, cutting agents, packaging material, and a hydraulic press used to compress cocaine for packaging.
