For Immediate Release: April 23, 2025 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 63-year-old JAMES T. REILLY of Edgewater, NJ, on charges of distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck. On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JAMES T. REILLY during the course of an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation. The investigation revealed that REILLY used the Internet to view, download, possess, distribute, and share items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children. For Immediate Release: April 17, 2025 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced charges against three teenagers from New York City, two are 18 years old, and one is 17 years old. These charges have been filed as a juvenile delinquency matter stemming from year-long armed carjacking investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Hackensack Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Antista. On Monday, April 22, 2024, at approximately 4:26 a.m., the Hackensack Police Department responded to a carjacking that occurred on South River Street in Hackensack, NJ. This joint investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Moonachie Police Department, under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens. On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Moonachie Police Department and the Moonachie Fire Department, along with mutual aid from the Wood-Ridge Fire Department and neighboring agencies, responded to a shed fire in the backyard of a single-family, private residence on Oak Street. During their initial response and fire suppression efforts of the two-alarm fire, the Moonachie Police Department and Fire Department located an adult male victim by the entrance to the shed.
