BROOKLYN, NY MAN CHARGED WITH ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JAVAL JAMES (DOB: 12/08/1977; divorced; unemployed) of Brooklyn, NY on aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn O’Reilly.
As a result of the investigation, on Friday, May 6, 2022, JAVAL JAMES was arrested in Teaneck, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2); and third-degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(7). JAMES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Teaneck Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
