For Immediate Release: September 22, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on September 15, 2023, RANDY MANNING formerly of Englewood, NJ was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment in New Jersey State Prison after being convicted of murder, arson, desecration of human remains, and weapons offenses in connection with the death of Rhian Stoute in August 2011. On August 15, 2011, RANDY MANNING shot the victim to death in a vacant house in Englewood. He returned to the scene several hours later and set the victim’s body on fire. MANNING then hid the victim’s body in an SUV, drove the SUV to Paramus, NJ, and abandoned the vehicle on a quiet residential street. He discarded key pieces of evidence in sewers in both Paramus and Brooklyn, New York, that were subsequently discovered by law enforcement during the ensuing investigation. For Immediate Release: September 22, 2023 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JUHAAN HAMMOND (DOB: 9/16/1993; single; unemployed) of 57 Jewell Street, Second Floor, Garfield, NJ on strict liability and drug distribution-related charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram. On Sunday, September 17, 2023, at approximately 6:41 p.m., the Garfield Police Department received a 911 call reporting the drug overdose of two victims. Responding officers located the two victims in the area of 249 Lincoln Place in Garfield, and life-saving measures were immediately initiated, including the administration of Naloxone. The victims were subsequently transported to an area hospital for treatment, where one of the transported victims, identified as 30-year-old Ivan Santiago of Garfield, NJ, was pronounced deceased. Driscoll. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Moonachie Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 4:40 a.m., the Moonachie Police Department received a 911 call reporting a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at the intersection of Industrial Avenue and U.S. Route 46 in Teterboro, NJ. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 5:29 p.m., the Fort Lee Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a report that a 7-year-old boy had fallen from an upper-floor window. FERNANDEZ (DOB: 10/02/1999; single; parking attendant) of 178 Wood Ridge Street, Floor 2, Wood-Ridge, NJ on charges of possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of GALO FERNANDEZ during a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that FERNANDEZ used the Internet to view, download, possess, distribute, and share items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fort Lee Police Department are investigating a death that occurred at a residential apartment complex on Anderson Avenue on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. At approximately 5:29 p.m., the Fort Lee Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive 7-year-old child. Subsequently, the child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and ultimately pronounced deceased. An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fort Lee Police Department under the direction of Chief Matthew Hintze.
