For Immediate Release: February 7, 2025 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 61-year-old TYRONE A. PRIOLEAU of Englewood, NJ on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, certain persons not to possess firearms, aggravated assault, and obstruction. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley. On Friday, January 31, 2025, at approximately 1:28 pm, the Englewood Police Department responded to a disturbance involving a man with a gun at a private residence on Knickerbocker Road in Englewood, NJ. Upon arrival, officers determined that the armed man fled the scene after he discharged a firearm inside the home. PHYKITT of Dalton, MN, formerly of Washington Township, NJ, on charges of sexual assault. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck. On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the Westwood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding alleged incidents of sexual assault that had occurred years ago. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit revealed that JED D. PHYKITT sexually assaulted a child in Hillsdale, Washington Township, and Westwood, NJ on multiple occasions, between 1990 and 1991, when the child was between the ages of thirteen and sixteen. For Immediate Release: February 7, 2025 The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Bergen County Sheriff’s Office are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Bergen County Youth Police Academy –Class #19. The Academy is a two-week program that is offered to Bergen County young men and women entering the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. There is no charge to attend the program, which is funded with monies forfeited from criminal enterprises. This year’s Academy will run from July 7 through July 18, 2025. DUNN of York, PA on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, armed burglary, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, resisting arrest, and obstruction. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck. On Monday, January 27, 2025, the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team countywide patrol units assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Lodi Police Department during the arrest of TYRE R. DUNN, who was wanted in connection with a criminal investigation and pending charges filed in Pennsylvania. During his apprehension in Lodi, NJ, DUNN fled from law enforcement, armed himself with a pickaxe, and was barricaded inside of a shed attached to a private residence on Stokes Street in Lodi. For Immediate Release: February 3, 2025 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 37-year-old ELVIS E. SUNDER of Bergenfield, NJ on charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr. On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at approximately 11:22 p.m., the Teaneck Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle on Teaneck Road at the intersection with Tryon Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that the vehicle involved left the scene of the collision. The pedestrian, who was identified as a 17-year-old female from Englewood, NJ, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Russo. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Fair Lawn Police Department are investigating an armed robbery and shooting incident that occurred earlier this morning in Fair Lawn, NJ. On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at approximately 4:54 am, the Fair Lawn Police Department responded to a shooting that had just occurred at the intersection of Henderson Boulevard and 11th Street. Officers from the Fair Lawn Police Department arrived, discovered ballistic evidence, and were able to ascertain that the shooting was connected to an armed robbery with no injuries reported.  Shortly thereafter, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad was notified, responded, and initiated a joint investigation with the Fair Lawn Police Department.  The incident appears to be isolated, and there is no indication of any wider threat or ongoing threat to the community.  This ongoing investigation is being conducted…

JACOBS of Yonkers, NY (employed as a Cliffside Park Emergency Medical Technician) on the charge of purposeful destruction of patient care medical records. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck. On November 22, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit received information regarding the alleged destruction of reports/charts associated with medical calls for service in Cliffside Park, NJ. An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that between September 2024 and November 2024, DARREN E. JACOBS, while employed by the borough of Cliffside Park Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) as an Emergency Medical Techician (“EMT”), destroyed several patient care medical records/charts.
