For Immediate Release: April 25, 2026 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the conviction of 69-year-old MARK A. HOLDBROOKS of Closter, NJ in connection with the murder of Michael Wright on November 5, 2015. The eight-week trial began on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, and due to a change of venue, it was held before the Honorable Marybel Mercado-Ramirez, J.S.C. in Passaic County Superior Court. The defendant was found guilty on all charges on Friday, April 24, 2026. Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, July 10, 2026. On November 10, 2015, the New York City Police Department located the body of former professional basketball player Michael Wright in an SUV parked on a Brooklyn street. Wright had previously been reported missing by his family friend and housemate, MARK A. HOLDBROOKS, with whom he lived in Closter, NJ. For Immediate Release: April 24, 2026 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 32-year-old LUIS M. MORALES-JUTZUY of Ridgefield Park, NJ on charges of attempted sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Cmielewski. On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Ridgefield Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgefield Park Police Department revealed that LUIS M. For Immediate Release: April 20, 2026 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information regarding a death investigation that occurred at a residence on Lake Avenue in Lyndhurst, NJ, on Thursday, April 16, 2026. This investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and in coordination with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. On Thursday, April 16, 2026, at approximately 5:33 a.m., the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lyndhurst Police Department attempted to effect the arrest of 38-year-old BRENDAN R. TRIVISONNO in front of his residence in Lyndhurst, NJ, on charges stemming from a homicide investigation in Union County, NJ. During the execution of the arrest warrant, TRIVISONNO fled from law enforcement and barricaded himself inside of the residence. For Immediate Release: April 20, 2026 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 49-year-old SHAWN M. LEE of Closter, NJ on the charge of aggravated assault stemming from an incident that occurred in Palisades Park, NJ. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Palisades Park Police Department, under the direction of Chief George Beck. On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at approximately 9:38 p.m., the Palisades Park Police Department responded to a private residence to investigate a 9-1-1 hang-up call. Upon arrival, officers learned that an assault had taken place earlier that same day in Palisades Park. Subsequently, the Palisades Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and a joint investigation was initiated. The investigation revealed that SHAWN M. LEE was involved in a physical altercation with an adult victim.

For Immediate Release: April 20, 2026 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information regarding the investigation into a fatal vehicle fire that occurred on Campbell Avenue in Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Saturday, April 18, 2026. This joint investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Woodcliff Lake Police Department, under the direction of Chief Stephen Regula. On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 12:08 p.m., the Woodcliff Lake Police Department and the Woodcliff Lake Fire Department responded to a serious vehicle fire in the driveway of a private residence on Campbell Avenue in Woodcliff Lake. During fire suppression efforts, first responders located 85-year-old Raymond F. Stupienski, Jr. outside the vehicle near the rear entrance to the residence. This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Wallington Police Department, under the direction of Chief Ireneusz Kluska. On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 10:51 a.m., the Wallington Police Department responded to a medical call for an individual having trouble breathing at a residence on Strong Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 74-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to his torso and leg. The victim was immediately transported by ambulance to HMH Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was hospitalized with critical injuries. He has since been upgraded to stable condition. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer. Beginning in January 2026, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit identified JAKUB CIELEMECKI during an ongoing Internet child pornography investigation. The months-long investigation, which involved a court-authorized search of CIELEMECKI’s electronic device, revealed that JAKUB CIELEMECKI viewed, saved, downloaded, and/or possessed items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.
