For Immediate Release: March 21, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MICHAEL SAPUPPO (DOB: 09/19/1985; single; food delivery driver) of 9 Vreeland Avenue, Apartment 2A, Hackensack, NJ, on charges of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck. On Thursday, March 21, 2024, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of MICHAEL SAPUPPO during the course of an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation. The investigation revealed that SAPUPPO used the Internet to view, download and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. As a result of the investigation, MICHAEL SAPUPPO was arrested on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in Paramus, NJ and charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b)(iii).

For Immediate Release: March 19, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of JAYSON RIVERA (DOB: 12/25/2000; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; BRYANT SANCHEZ (DOB: 11/29/1997; single; carpenter) of Paterson, NJ; ERONY SANCHEZ (DOB: 04/02/1996; single; unemployed) of Clifton, NJ; and DANTE MOORE (DOB: 08/14/1990; single; retail) of Passaic, NJ on murder charges. RICKY “ANGEL” VARGAS (DOB: 07/18/1988; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, PA was charged with murder and is currently a wanted fugitive from justice. For Immediate Release: March 15, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ERNEST F. HOFMANN (DOB: 5/18/1929; widowed; carpenter) of 107 Spring Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Brian Joyce. On Thursday, March 14, 2024, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the Dumont Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Madison Avenue in Dumont, NJ. The pedestrian, 54-year-old Dumont resident Elizabeth Feliciano-Rosa, was transported to Hackensack University Hospital and later died as a result of her injuries. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck. As previously reported on February 23, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit was contacted in January 2024 by the Hopatcong (NJ) Police Department regarding alleged sexual conduct between a teacher and a student in Westwood, NJ. For Immediate Release: March 13, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JORDAN CLARKE (DOB: 1/22/2000; single; unemployed) of 60 Palisade Avenue, Westwood, NJ for strict liability and drug distribution-related charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Park Ridge Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Madden. On Thursday, September 14, 2023, the Park Ridge Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive teenage juvenile. Responding officers located the juvenile victim, and life-saving measures were initiated, including the administration of naloxone. The victim was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter. Indicators of a possible drug overdose were noted, and detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force were notified.
