GUERRERO-BRITO of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ in connection with a 2024 fatal motor vehicle accident. That crash resulted in the death of 37-year-old Richard M. Bahamonte of Hillside, NJ. On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at approximately 3:08 a.m., the New Jersey State Police responded to a single-car accident that occurred on Interstate 80 Eastbound in Teaneck, NJ. In November of 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received information about an alleged theft of funds by a former company controller of a Bergen County corporation, initiating a lengthy investigation. Ultimately, the investigation revealed that STEVEN C. BERGER engaged in a sustained course of conduct to misappropriate company funds in excess of $878,675.80.
