FLORES-MEJIA of Bogota, NJ on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Bogota Police Department under the direction of Chief Daniel Maye. On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the Bogota Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile under the age of sixteen. For Immediate Release: October 3, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 48-year-old JASON S. MCNEILL of Wyckoff, NJ on charges of theft by deception and forgery. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck. In April 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received information alleging JASON S. MCNEILL’s involvement in a fraudulent investment scheme. Detectives from the Financial Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into the activity and determined that MCNEILL solicited approximately $420,000 from investors by presenting them with forged documents. Specifically, the investigation revealed that MCNEILL represented to eight victims over the course of three months that the funds he was soliciting were to purchase investment properties, namely vacant lots for development in the City of Newark, which was false. VARGAS of Bogota, NJ on new, upgraded charges related to a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on January 25, 2024. The arrest and latest upgraded charges are the result of a continuing investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr. On Thursday, January 25, 2024, at approximately 7:55 a.m., the Teaneck Police Department responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Palmer Avenue and Sherman Avenue in Teaneck, NJ.
