For Immediate Release: August 22, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 18-year-old DAMIEN I. FLORES of Garfield, NJ and 22-year-old SAMANTHA N. DELACRUZ of Elmwood Park, NJ on charges stemming from a falsely reported shooting incident in Garfield, NJ. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram. On Friday, July 26, 2024, a gunshot victim sought treatment at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. The Paterson Police Department was notified, responded to the hospital, and identified DAMIEN I. FLORES of Garfield, NJ, who provided law enforcement with a statement indicating that he was shot in a drive-by shooting that took place near Belmont Park in Garfield, NJ. For Immediate Release: August 16, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of a 16-year-old juvenile who resides in Bergen County on charges of armed robbery, weapon offenses, and theft. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the River Edge Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Walker. On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers from the River Edge Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a gas station on Hackensack Avenue in River Edge. Accordingly, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad was notified, responded, and initiated a joint investigation with the River Edge Police Department. For Immediate Release: August 15, 2024 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 26-year-old JONATHAN D. HAGLEY of New York, NY on charges of murder, weapon possession, and obstructing justice. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr. As previously reported, the Teaneck Police Department responded to a shooting at a private residence on Hickory Street in Teaneck, NJ on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 8:25 a.m. Officers arrived at the residence and discovered a 26-year-old woman, later identified as Naomi Hagley, with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. First responders determined that the suspect was a family member who fled the scene. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Teaneck Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred on Hickory Street in Teaneck, NJ on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 8:25 a.m.  The initial investigation has so far revealed that a 26-year-old female was shot at a private residence.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.  Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are on scene with members of the Teaneck Police Department, alongside officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department and a mutual aid response provided by the Bogota Police Department.  At this time, there is no ongoing danger to the community.  Additional information and details will be available once detectives have completed further investigation, which includes notifications to next of kin.  This investigation is being conducted by the…

GIANOTTI of Fairview, NJ on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Vincent Bellucci. On Friday, July 12, 2024, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged physical abuse of a juvenile under the age of sixteen. DAVIS, 28, of Paterson, NJ for strict liability in a drug-induced death and drug distribution-related charges. The arrest is the result of a year-long investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Oradell Police Department under the direction of Chief William Wicker. On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Oradell Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting an unconscious and unresponsive adult male in a private residence. In April 2024, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit received information from the Mahwah Police Department and initiated an investigation into a pattern of text and online messages that involved an unknown user who utilized various online accounts and phone numbers to extort a victim for nude photos, which began on the popular social media application Snapchat. A months-long investigation by detectives to trace the phone numbers and online accounts used to contact the victim revealed that they belonged to JOURDEN BATTLE, a resident of Tobyhanna, PA.
