The Community Engagement Task Force recognizes that strong relationships of mutual trust between police agencies and the communities they serve are critical to maintaining public safety and effective policing. The task force is a cooperative network of municipal police officers throughout Bergen County, in partnership with the BCPO, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for local citizens by working with community organizations on prevention and safety initiatives. The Task Force will share ideas, best practices and work collaboratively to strengthen law enforcement’s relationship with their communities.
