CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DELFINO SIMON-ROCA (DOB: 10/13/1967; married; construction worker) of Cliffside Park, NJ, on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Marc Marano.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cliffside Park Police Department revealed that DELFINO SIMON-ROCA sexually assaulted a child in Cliffside Park, NJ on three occasions.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, DELFINO SIMON-ROCA was arrested in Cliffside Park, NJ and charged with second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. SIMON-ROCA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would also like to thank the Cliffside Park Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
