Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of COLIN MURPHY (DOB: 8/11/2003; single; unemployed) of 91 North Vivyen Street, Bergenfield, New Jersey; JACOB INGLIS (DOB: 4/26/2002; single; unemployed) of 2 Sunrise Terrace, Bergenfield, New Jersey; and Cameron Schneid (DOB: 5/23/2001; single; unemployed) of 526 Boulevard, New Milford, New Jersey on robbery and theft charges. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Emerson Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Mazzeo.

During a one and one-half month-long investigation by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Emerson Police Department, COLIN MURPHY, JACOB INGLIS, AND CAMERON SCHNEID were identified as suspects in a robbery which occurred in Emerson on September 23, 2021.

On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Emerson Police Department, New Milford Police Department, and Bergenfield Police Department arrested COLIN MURPHY, JACOB INGLIS, AND CAMERON SCHNEID without incident while conducting search warrants at their homes.

MURPHY, INGLIS, and SCHNEID were each charged with one count of second-degree robbery, N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1a(1); one count of second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2A(1); and one count of third-degree theft, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3A.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prosecutor Musella would like to thank the Emerson Police Department, Bergenfield Police Department, New Milford Police Department, Saddle River Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation.
