ENGLEWOOD MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT, ASSAULT, AND WEAPON OFFENSES

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FELIX BARON- CASTILLO (DOB: 11/07/1991; single; waiter) of Englewood, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, criminal restraint, terroristic threats and possession of a weapon. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Tom Greeley.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that FELIX BARON-CASTILLO sexually assaulted a woman in Englewood, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, FELIX BARON- CASTILLO was arrested in Englewood, NJ and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault with a deadly weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(4); third-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(2); third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d; third-degree criminal restraint, N.J.S.A. 2C:13-2b; third-degree terroristic threats, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-3b; and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5d. BARON-CASTILLO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would also like to thank the Englewood Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
