Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OSTIN REYES-MEJIA (DOB: 06/25/1985; married; waiter) of 146 Liberty Road, Englewood, NJ on a charge of distribution of cocaine.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley. 

During a two-month investigation, OSTIN REYES-MEJIA distributed cocaine to an undercover detective on multiple occasions.  On August 16, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, Englewood Police Department, and Bergen County Regional SWAT Team arrested OSTIN REYES-MEJIA as he exited his residence.

On August 16, 2022, OSTIN REYES-MEJIA was charged with second-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically cocaine, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2).  He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.  He would like to thank the Englewood Police Department and the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team for their assistance in this investigation.
