Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OSCAR HOLGUIN (DOB: 08/03/1979; single; credit consultant) of 3301 River View Avenue, Englewood, NJ on drug-related charges.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On March 21, 2022, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force revealed that OSCAR HOLGUIN was distributing marijuana and laundering the proceeds through Bergen County.  During the investigation, a search of a car owned and operated by HOLGUIN revealed two pounds of marijuana.  OSCAR HOLGUIN was arrested at the scene of the search, and a subsequent search warrant of his Englewood apartment revealed marijuana packaging material, a fraudulent New Jersey’s driver’s license bearing HOLGUIN’s photo, a fraudulent Social Security card, and $58,880.

OSCAR HOLGUIN was charged with one count of third-degree possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(11); third-degree money laundering, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25(a); and fourth-degree possessing false government documents, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-2.1(d).  He was released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would also like to thank the Englewood Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
