Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ULISES RAMIREZ ARGUETA (DOB: 1/10/1991; married; landscaper) of Englewood, NJ, who was already in custody at the Bergen County Jail, on new charges of criminal attempt/sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Deputy Chief Thomas Greeley.

On Friday, April 15, 2022, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that ULISES RAMIREZ ARGUETA sexually assaulted the child, who was 16 years old or younger, in Englewood, NJ on one occasion.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, ULISES RAMIREZ ARGUETA was charged and served at the Bergen County Jail with second-degree criminal attempt/sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1; third-degree criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b; and fourth-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). ARGUETA remained in the custody of the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in this latest matter in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Englewood Police Department for their assistance.
