In September 2025, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, the Maywood Police Department, and the USPIS initiated a narcotics investigation in Bergen County, NJ. During the extensive investigation, detectives determined that multiple suspects were collaborating in a large-scale illegal drug scheme with locations that included Broad Street in Bergenfield, NJ; Ralph Street in Bergenfield, NJ; Lake Street in Englewood, NJ; and Lawrence Avenue in Lodi, NJ.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, Maywood Police Department, and the USPIS, along with assistance from the Bergenfield Police Department, Englewood Police Department, and Lodi Police Department, executed court-authorized search warrants at multiple locations across Bergen County, NJ. Detectives located and seized various types of illicit narcotics, including illegally pressed pills, MDMA, Ketamine, Marijuana, and Tapentadol. The seizure by detectives included three kilograms of MDMA, nine kilograms of Ketamine, and 291 kilograms of pressed fraudulent pills. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized by investigators exceeds $4 million.

As a result of the investigation, THOMAS A. CRISAFULLI, JAYSHAWN EYAMAZEMEMBA, ETHAN LARA, MICHAEL MORALES, and NAUDY OVIEDO were arrested and each charged with first-degree operating a controlled dangerous substance facility, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-4; first-degree possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1); second-degree possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II narcotic, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(4); third-degree possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(13); and third-degree possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(13). All five defendants were remanded to the Bergen County Jail, made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ, and were subsequently released pending further court action.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella states that all the charges against all the defendants are merely accusations, and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella would like to thank and recognize the Maywood Police Department and the United States Postal Inspection Service for their assistance and coordination throughout this investigation. He also thanks the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Bergenfield Police Department, Englewood Police Department, and Lodi Police Department for their assistance.
