LODI, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT, ATTEMPTED AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT, ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD, AND AGGRAVATED SEXUAL CONTACT

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of COREY HIPSCHER (DOB: 09/10/1971; single; delivery driver) of Lodi, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault, attempted aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated sexual contact. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.
On Sunday, August 6, 2023, the Lodi Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Lodi Police Department revealed that COREY HIPSCHER sexually assaulted multiple children under the age of 16 on multiple occasions in Lodi, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, August 10, 2023, COREY HIPSCHER was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)(c); second-degree attempted aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1a(1)/2C:14-2a(2) (c); two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and two counts of third-degree aggravated sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a. HIPSCHER was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Lodi Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
