NEW YORK CITY MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG OFFENSES AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JARRON ELLIOT MCCABE (DOB: 11/21/1994; single; construction worker) of 95 West 95th Street, New York, NY, on charges of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and receiving stolen property. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On March 28, 2023, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County, NJ. The investigation revealed that the driver, JARRON ELLIOTT MCCABE, was transporting approximately twelve pounds of marijuana while having stolen New York license plates affixed to his vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, JARRON ELLIOTT MCCABE was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(10)b; and the disorderly persons offense of receiving stolen property, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-7a. MCCABE was released on his own recognizance pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
