OSCAR HERNANDEZ ESTRADA OF RIDGEFIELD, NJ CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT BY CONTACT, AND ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OSCAR HERNANDEZ ESTRADA (DOB: 12/30/1977; married; construction laborer) of 583 Hillside Street, Ridgefield, NJ on sexual assault charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Ridgefield Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas J. Gallagher.
On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, the Ridgefield Police Department received information that OSCAR HERNANDEZ ESTRADA had been sexually abusing multiple juveniles. Ridgefield Police contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the NJ Department of Child Protection and Permanency. An investigation revealed that HERNANDEZ ESTRADA sexually abused two children under the age of thirteen while in Ridgefield, NJ.
On Thursday, July 8, 2021, OSCAR HERNANDEZ ESTRADA was arrested and charged by the Ridgefield Police Department with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); one count of second-degree sexual assault by sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Ridgefield Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
