Press Releases << PARAMUS, NJ MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT CHARGES

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EDISON PRO (DOB: 12/15/1969; married; handyman) of 2 Short Way, Paramus, NJ on charges of sexual assault by contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated criminal sexual contact.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Guidetti.

On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of two children.  An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paramus Police Department revealed that EDISON PRO sexually assaulted two children who were 13 years or younger, in Paramus, NJ on more than one occasion.

As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, EDISON PRO was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault by contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a.  EDISON PRO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Paramus Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
