PARAMUS, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD AND SIMPLE ASSAULT

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 56 year-old CHRISTOPHER DEL SAVIO of Paramus, NJ on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Guidetti.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding alleged child abuse. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paramus Police Department revealed that CHRISTOPHER DEL SAVIO physically abused two juveniles under the age of 14 years old in Paramus, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, On Friday, September 13, 2024, CHRITOPHER DEL SAVIO was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A.2C:24-4a(2) and Simple Assault N.J.S.A.2C:12-1(a)(1) for each minor. CHRISTOPHER DEL SAVIO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Paramus Police Department for the assistance in this investigation.
