PATERSON, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION AND FALSIFYING RECORDS
For Immediate Release:
September 21, 2022
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FRANCISCO VENTURACUBA (DOB: 6/04/1982; single; unemployed) of 85 Presidential Blvd., Paterson, NJ on charges of unauthorized use of personal identifying information and falsifying records. This is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Thursday, March 10, 2022, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received information from the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission regarding an individual having the same driver’s license photograph on two separate driver’s licenses with different personal information.
The investigation revealed that in 2021, FRANCISCO VENTURACUBA presented an application for a New Jersey driver’s license at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission located at Lodi, NJ. Upon review of the photograph, the Motor Vehicle Commission discovered that VENTURACUBA’s photograph was previously assigned to a different driver’s license number and personal information. It was determined that in 2019, VENTURACUBA had renewed a driver’s license by providing someone else’s expired driver’s license, social security card and billing statement.
On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, FRANCISCO VENTURACUBA was charged with fourth-degree unauthorized use of personal identifying information of another, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-17a(4); and fourth-degree falsifying records, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-4a. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future Central Judicial Processing Court hearing.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, under the direction of Acting Chief Administrator Latrecia Littles-Floyd, for their assistance in this investigation.
