Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of AUSTIN WALKER (DOB: 01/10/2001; single; lot attendant) of PENNSVILLE, NJ on charges of sexual assault. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the South Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Chinchar.

On Monday, August 1, 2022, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted by an individual who alleged that she was sexually assaulted in South Hackensack, NJ. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the South Hackensack Police Department revealed that AUSTIN WALKER sexually assaulted the victim in South Hackensack, NJ, on one occasion.

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, AUSTIN WALKER was arrested in PENNSVILLE, NJ, and charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1). WALKER was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the South Hackensack Police Department and the Pennsville Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
