Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Maywood Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a jewelry store, located at 42 West Pleasant Avenue in Maywood, NJ. At approximately 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in response to a 911 call, the Maywood Police Department, along with mutual aid from the Paramus and Rochelle Park Police Departments, responded to 42 West Pleasant Avenue. Shortly thereafter, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office detectives responded to the scene.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Maywood Police Department under the direction of Chief Terence Kenny. No other information is available at this time, but more details will be released when possible.
