Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. The arrests are the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, Special Agent in Charge Terence OPIOLA from Homeland Security Investigations, and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Captain Francesco Aquila.

On December 1, 2016, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that individuals were awaiting a delivery of a large amount of cocaine. Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations conducted surveillance and observed Angel HERNANDEZ NUNEZ meet with Juan PACHE CEDENO inside a New York City livery cab. Pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on the livery cab in Hackensack, PACHE CEDENO and HERNANDEZ NUNEZ were found to be in possession of 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine.

As a result of this investigation, JUAN PACHE CEDENO and ANGEL HERNANDEZ NUNEZ were arrested and charged with one count each of Possession With The Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Namely Cocaine, in a Quantity Greater than Five (5) Ounces, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(1), a first degree crime. The Honorable Guiseppe Randazzo, J.M.C., set bail at $175,000.00 with no ten percent option. Mr. PACHE CEDENO and Mr. HERNANDEZ NUNEZ are scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on December 21, 2016 at 8:30am.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank Homeland Security Investigations and the Hackensack Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
