ALFREDO MEDINA-SANCHEZ OF CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ CHARGED WITH CHILD ABUSE
Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of ALFREDO MEDINA-SANCHEZ (DOB: 5/20/1966; married; and employed as Construction Worker) of Cliffside Park, New Jersey on a child abuse charge. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard GAITO.
On Wednesday, December 21, 2016, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted by the Cliffside Park Police Department and advised that a 12 year-old female attended school with leg injuries. An investigation was initiated by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Cliffside Park Police Department.
As a result of the investigation, Alfredo MEDINA-SANCHEZ was arrested on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Cliffside Park, New Jersey and charged with one count of Child Abuse, in violation of N.J.S.A. 9:6-3, a 4th degree crime. MEDINA-SANCHEZ was released on a summons and is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on January 9, 2017 at 8:30 A.M.
Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would also like to thank the Cliffside Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
