Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of JERRY INAMAGUA-JARA (DOB: 02/13/1994; single; and employed as a construction worker) of 802 85th Street, First Floor, North Bergen, New Jersey on charges related to narcotics distribution. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Martin KAHN.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that Jerry INAMAGUA-JARA was distributing a controlled dangerous substance, specifically Marijuana, in the Fairview, New Jersey area. During an investigation by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force Unit and the Fairview Police Department, INAMAGUA-JARA distributed marijuana to an undercover detective of the Narcotics Task Force on two separate occasions.
As a result of this investigation, Jerry INAMAGUA-JARA was arrested on January 4, 2017 in Paramus, New Jersey after surrendering himself to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. INAMAGUA-JARA was charged with one count of Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Namely Marijuana in an aggregate quantity of one ounce or more but less than five pounds, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5A(1)/5B(11), a third degree crime. INAMAGUA-JARA was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.
Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Fairview Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
