JAMES REYNOSO OF CRESSKILL CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE DRUGS

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of JAMES REYNOSO (DOB: 10/14/1997; single; and unemployed) of 1108 Tenakill Park Drive, Cresskill, New Jersey on charges related to the possession and distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor=s Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael CONNER, the Cresskill Police Department under the direction of Chief Edward WRIXON, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Michael SAUDINO.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that James REYNOSO was distributing controlled dangerous substances in the area of Cresskill, New Jersey. On Friday, February 3, 2017, police personnel conducted a search warrant at REYNOSO’s residence. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of controlled dangerous substances were recovered on this date.

James REYNOSO was arrested without incident, and was charged with violating one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in a quantity of one ounce or more, N.J.S.A. 2C:35- 5A(1)/5B(11), a Third Degree Crime; one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in a quantity of one ounce or more, within 1000 feet of Edward A. Bryan Elementary School, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7, a Third Degree Crime; one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in a quantity of one ounce or more, within 500 feet of Cook Field, a Public Park, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7.1, a Second Degree Crime. Mr. REYNOSO was released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.

Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Dumont Police Department, Cresskill Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.
