The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Edward ROSE.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that Leonardo MARTINEZ-GOLLES, Raidel GARCIA, and Camilio MONZON-RIVERA were involved in the transportation of large quantities of marijuana into New Jersey. On Thursday, February 9, 2017, police personnel conducted surveillance at the Hampton Inn in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Leonardo MARTINEZ-GOLLES, Raidel GARCIA, and Camilio MONZON-RIVERA were arrested without incident, and were each charged with one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in a quantity greater than twenty five pounds, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5A(1)/5B(10)(A), a First Degree Crime. MARTINEZ-GOLLES, GARCIA, and MONZON-RIVERA were remanded to the Bergen County Jail.

Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Ridgefield Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
