Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of ANTHONY YACHOUH (DOB: 08/02/1990; single; and unemployed) of 475 Kossuth Street, Paramus, New Jersey on a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, to wit: Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief of Detectives Robert ANZILOTTI.
On Wednesday January 18, 2017, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the home of Anthony YACHOUH during the course of an investigation related to photographs of child pornography on the Internet. The investigation revealed that YACHOUH was in possession of pornographic photographs depicting prepubescent children.
As a result, Anthony YACHOUH was arrested on February 27, 2017, and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, to wit: Possession of Child Pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4B(5)(B), a third degree crime. YACHOUH has been incarcerated since January 18, 2017 on an unrelated parole violation and is currently located at the Central Reception and Assignment Facility (CRAF) in Trenton, New Jersey. YACHOUH will remain in this facility and is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Grewal would like to thank the municipal police agencies that comprise the Cyber Crimes Task Force, and specifically would like to thank the Paramus Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
