GARY J. NICOLONI CHARGED WITH DRUG RELATED OFFENSES IN MONTVALE, NEW JERSEY
Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of GARY J. NICOLINI (DOB: 8/6/1963; divorced; and unemployed) of 5 Magnolia Avenue, Montvale, NJ. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Michael Saudino, the Park Ridge Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph J. Madden, and the Montvale Police Department under the direction of Chief Jeremy Abrams.
A two month narcotic investigation revealed that Gary J. NICOLINI was involved in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. On Wednesday, June 28, 2017, law enforcement personnel executed a court authorized search warrant at Mr. NICOLINI’s residence. A search of the residence revealed various suspected controlled dangerous substances including approximately four hundred Oxycodone pills, Marijuana, Psilocybin Mushrooms, Crystal Methamphetamine, THC Infused Gummy Bears, and a large quantity of an unknown white powder that will be analyzed by the New Jersey State Police laboratory at a later date. Additionally, drug paraphernalia including a digital scale and numerous unused plastic baggies, commonly utilized to package controlled dangerous substances for distribution, and $6,740.00 was seized.NICOLINI was arrested without incident. The estimated street value of the suspected controlled dangerous substances seized is $20,000.00.
Gary NICOLINI was charged with violating one count of 2C:35-5b(4), Possession With the Intent to Distribute Oxycodone, a Second Degree Crime; one count of 2C:35-10a(1), Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, a Third Degree Crime; one count of 2C:35-10a(1), Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, a Third Degree Crime; one count of 2C:35-10a(4), Possession of Marijuana under fifty grams, a Disorderly Person’s Offense; and one count of 2C:36-3, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Associated to the Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a Fourth Degree Crime. NICOLINI was released on a Summons pending a Central Judicial Processing Court date of July 19, 2017.
Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal would like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, the Park Ridge Police Department, and the Montvale Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
