Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of MARC RODRIGUEZ (DOB: 07/02/1979; married; and employed as a stage hand) of 219 3rd Street, Apt. #1, Fairview, New Jersey on narcotics related charges and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Martin Kahn and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Gaito.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that Marc RODRIGUEZ was distributing controlled dangerous substances in Fairview, New Jersey. On Friday, August 18, 2017, police personnel executed a court-authorized search warrant at 219 3rd Street, Apt. #1, Fairview, New Jersey, where Marc RODRIGUEZ was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax pills, and various drug paraphernalia.
Marc RODRIGUEZ was arrested without incident and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A(2), a Second Degree Crime; one count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Methamphetamine, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(1), a Third Degree Crime; one count of Possession of various Drug Paraphernalia, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-3, a Fourth Degree Crime; one count of Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug, namely Xanax pills, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10.5E(1), a Disorderly Persons Offense; and one count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in an amount less than fifty grams, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(4), a Disorderly Persons Offense. Marc RODRIGUEZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.
Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Fairview Police Department and the Cliffside Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
