Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of MIKE URGILES (DOB: 1/7/1998; single; and a student) of 730 Princeton Street, New Milford, New Jersey on charges of Sexual Assault, Criminal Sexual Contact, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, and the New Milford Police Department under the direction of Chief Frank Ramaci.
On November 30, 2017, the New Milford Police Department and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received information that Mike URGILES had inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old victim in New Milford, New Jersey.
As a result of the investigation, Mike URGILES was arrested on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Paramus, New Jersey and charged with one count of Sexual Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(4), a 2nd degree crime; one count of Criminal Sexual Contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b, a 4th degree crime; and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, a 3rd degree crime. URGILIES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his arraignment, appeared at Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Friday, December 1, 2017 and was released.
Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the New Milford Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
