Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of BRIAN E. DELGADO (DOB:09/17/1985, single, and unemployed) of 138 Central Avenue, Lodi, New Jersey on a charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
During the month of January 2018, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force received information that Brian E. DELGADO was distributing Cocaine from a residence at 138 Central Avenue, Lodi, New Jersey. Pursuant to this investigation, on February 6, 2018, approximately 80 grams of suspected Cocaine and drug paraphernalia associated with packaging narcotics for distribution purposes were seized at this location. The approximate street value of the seized Cocaine is $4,000.00.
Brian E. DELGADO was arrested without incident and charged with one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(2), a 2nd crime, and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute a controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine, within one-thousand feet of Hilltop Elementary School, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7A, a 3rd crime. DELGADO is scheduled for a first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on February 21, 2018 at 8:30 AM.
Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Lyndhurst Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Lodi Police Department, Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, and the New Jersey Drug Enforcement Administration Paterson Post of Duty for their assistance in this investigation.
