Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of JENNY HERRERA-GOMEZ (DOB: 08/23/1988; single; unemployed) of Saddle Brook, New Jersey on a charge of Child Abuse. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Kugler.
On Thursday, April 26, 2018, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (“DCPP”) was alerted that a child reported to school in Saddle Brook with significant bruising on the legs and additional marks and welts on other portions of the body. The DCPP responded to the school and alerted law enforcement.
As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Saddle Brook Police Department, Jenny HERRERA-GOMEZ was arrested on Thursday, April 26, 2018 and charged with one count of a New Jersey Title 9 Violation of Child Abuse, a crime of the 4th degree. HERRERA-GOMEZ is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 8:30 AM.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Saddle Brook Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
