JOSE BELLO OF CAMDEN, NJ CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE NARCOTICS

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of JOSE A. BELLO (DOB:10/9/1996; single; unemployed) of 909 North 4th Street, Camden, NJ on charges of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Crack Cocaine; Possession Of A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Heroin; and Possession of Hollow Nose Bullets. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Interstate 95 South in Ridgefield Park, NJ on a vehicle occupied by Jose A. BELLO. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 51 vials of suspected Crack Cocaine, several decks of suspected Heroin, and .45 caliber hollow nose bullets.

As a result of the investigation, JOSE A. BELLO was arrested and charged with one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Crack Cocaine, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5B(3), a 3rd degree crime; one count of Possession Of A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Heroin, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(1), a 3rd degree crime; and one count of Possession Of Hollow Nose Bullets, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3F(1), a 3rd degree crime. Additionally, $1,125 believed to be the proceeds of criminal activity was seized during the investigation. Jose A. BELLO was released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on November 14, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.

Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
