Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of FELIX ORTEGA-ANTONIO (DOB: 06/14/1986; single; and employed as a cook) of Hackensack, New Jersey on charges of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child and Criminal Sexual Contact. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Captain Peter Busciglio.
On Monday, November 5, 2018, the Hackensack Police Department received a report that Felix ORTEGA-ANTONIO engaged in an act of sexual contact with a child between the ages of thirteen and sixteen in Hackensack. As the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department, ORTEGA-ANTONIO was arrested on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Hackensack and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A, a 3rd degree crime; and one count of Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3B, a 4th degree crime. ORTEGA-ANTONIO is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Hackensack Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
