Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of WILLIE DRONE (DOB: 06/08/1964; married; employed as a truck driver) of Englewood, New Jersey, on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Lawrence Suffern.
On Monday, March 11, 2019, the Englewood Police Department received information that Willie DRONE had engaged in sexual activity with a juvenile from 2016 until the present in Englewood. As a result of the investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Englewood Police Department, Willie DRONE was arrested on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 and charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2), 1st degree crimes ; two counts of Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(3), 2nd degree crimes; one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a, a 3rd degree crime. DRONE was detained at the Bergen County Jail and was scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on March 13, 2019.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Englewood Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
