Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FRANCISCO ROSARIO (DOB: 07/02/1962; married; mechanic at door company) of Bronx, NY on one count of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer-In-Charge Captain Peter Busciglio.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation that FRANCISCO ROSARIO sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 while he was residing in Hackensack. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department revealed that the assault took place while Rosario resided in New Jersey.
As a result of the investigation, FRANCISCO ROSARIO was arrested on November 1, 2019 in Carlstadt, NJ and charged by the Hackensack Police Department with one count of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a 2nd degree crime, and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1), a 3rd degree crime. Following his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ, FRANCISCO ROSARIO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Hackensack Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
