Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EDUARDO SUAREZ-COUVERTIER (DOB: 12/24/1992; single; self-employed salesman) of 5638 Chew Avenue, Philadelphia PA on a charge of Money Laundering. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

On November 19, 2019, in connection with a narcotics investigation, detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in Fort Lee, NJ on a green 2007 Honda Pilot. A search of the vehicle revealed $115,411.00 in cash in an electronically operated aftermarket hidden compartment. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, EDUARDO SUAREZ-COUVERTIER, was arrested at the scene, charged with one count of Money Laundering, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25(a), a 2nd degree crime, and released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
